Since 2008, he has played an active role in the structuring and qualification of the Azores’ tourism offer. He participated in the coordination and implementation of Regional Plans such as the Strategic Tourism Entertainment Plan for the Central and Eastern Groups, the Azores Tourism Strategic and Marketing Plan, as well as the Structuring of the Azores Routes – Cultural and Landscape Itineraries, with particular emphasis on the Wine Route. Since January 2026, he has coordinated the Sustainability Structure of the Tourist Destination – Azores DMO, responsible for the international certification of the Azores as a Sustainable Tourist Destination by EarthCheck.
