Eva Milheiro has been a lecturer and researcher at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre since 2000, where she has chaired the Scientific Area of History, Geography and Heritage, coordinated the Department of Social Sciences, Territory and Development, and served as President of the Pedagogical Council.

She coordinated the Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and the Postgraduate Program in Wine Tourism. She is currently coordinating the Postgraduate Program in Olive Oil Tourism.

She has been involved in several national and international research projects related to the sustainable development of peripheral regions.
